<image:caption>Marine Life is an infographic I created to show what diversity there is even in the most uninhabitable parts of the ocean, and at what depths you can find certain creatures. I wanted the infographic to be simple and illustrative, but still legible in it’s content, which led to a few design decisions. Originally I was going to paint in each creature in full color, but line art proved more cohesive and easier to read. Additionally, I knew the graphic was going to be very long, so I created sections that I could print smaller tiles and have them stand alone as a smaller infographic, or put together to look like one long poster.</image:caption>

<image:title>Portfolio</image:title>
<image:caption>Plum Island was the name of a fictional coffee shop & creamery we were asked to design a packaging system for in packaging design. The shop was located on an island in the state of new york, and many chose to incorporate nautical themes in their designs to reflect this. I went in another direction, taking inspiration from where the coffee came from instead. I wanted to bring a lush, vibrant feel to the coffee shop, while making it feel fun and inviting. The font used in the logo was altered to fit this aesthetic, and I created several animal focused illustrations for both the ice creams and the coffee cups. I wanted to reward people who took the time to really look at the designs, so I did things like make fun animal facts on the inside of the lids of the ice cream, and strove to make the illustrations interesting from all angles of the packaging.</image:caption>

<image:title>Portfolio</image:title>
<image:caption>Bad Omens was a project for a corporate identity and branding class where I was asked to create a subscription box over any subject. I used to work as a librarian, so books seemed like a logical solution. I specifically wanted to make something that evokes gothic and supernatural horror, in a more subtle and sophisticated way. The subscription boxes would contain horror novels and short story collections, but also things to set the mood- things like candles, small trinkets, and food. Every month would be centered around a different theme or monster in horror novels. While I only had time to create the logo and stationary for this project, I’d love to expand on the idea in the future.</image:caption>

<image:caption>The language of flowers cards are a school project I did, where we were required to create a set of fifteen greeting cards with a common theme. Dating back to Victorian England, the language of flowers was a second layer of meaning added to flower arrangement and floral gifts- every flower had a unique association. These flower cards all center around the meaning of one flower per card, and include small cutouts of seed paper, which would grow the flower on the card when planted.</image:caption>

<image:caption>For one of the projects in a packaging design class, we were asked to create a packaging system for a fictional wine company by the name of Paseo Vineyards. I based my wines around the concept of fortune telling, with a focus on tarot cards. I illustrated five tarot cards, one for every bottle, based on which concepts I thought would pair well with the flavor descriptions given. Each wine has a small sealed envelope with a fortune inside, tied around the neck of the bottle. I also made several items for a gift shop to expand on the theme, such as actual tarot cards, chocolate, incense, and bubble bath.</image:caption>

<image:caption>GEO Mineral Cosmetics was a school project where I was required to create a packaging system. I chose to do makeup, and I wanted to base my brand around crystals and geological formations because of the great variation of texture and color they provide. The GEO line of cosmetics packaging includes three eyeshadow palettes, blush, foundation, primer, four lipsticks and four liquid lipsticks, eyeliner, and a highlighting powder. For each product, the image chosen calls back to the colors found in the makeup itself. I made the logo relatively simple and changed the colors in it to reflect the image on the packaging.</image:caption>
